Signed Geo Bellows Painting on Canvas. Not Authenticated. Dated on back 1922. There is a lithograph by George Bellows, “Counted Out, Second Stone” in 1921 that is the National Gallery of Art, Washington   1) Matches the image seen in lithograph entitled “Counted Out, Second Stone”; 2) The red color on his neck matches “Both Members of this Club” in 1909 and 3) The light on the boxers and spectators seems close to what Bellows did for “Club Night” in 1907.

Important Message: — This painting is from the collection of over 80 works curated by Matthew Siegel. Matthew is an MIT educated nuclear engineer who traveled the world and resided in London, San Diego, Chicago, Connecticut and Philadelphia. Mr Siegel was drawn to paintings of industrial facilities, workmen, sports, movement and genre paintings depicting the building of our world. His philosophy was to choose an artist who had good form and a grasp of movement, over and above the size of the painting or previous sales value. Each painting will include a letter that it was part of his collection.
